Our First Joy of the Game Tournament

On August 22nd, we had about 60 players ages 7-8 including from Mt. Lebanon (the Mt. Lebanon Baseball association helped to provide resources) and other local communities like Bridgeville, and some from charitable organizations such as Big Brother/Big Sisters, Kids Voice, and Miracle League. Coaches included about a dozen of Clint Seymour’s friends, teammates, and coaches.  It was free to all participants as part of the fulfillment of the mission of The Clint Seymour “Play Ball” Fund.  Reactions of players, parents, and guardians to the one-day mini-tournament were overwhelmingly positive. It was non-competitive with rules adjusted to provide an opportunity for all participants to succeed.  They were encouraged to embrace the Joy of the Game of baseball in accordance with one of our tenets that Joy is derived from Respect and Determination whether on a playing field or in any other learning environment.  As with everything we have been fortunate enough to do at this point, it was a true honor and pleasure.  This photo gallery of the day’s events reveals that:
