Clint’s EKU Team Room Dedication

The “Clint Seymour Team Room” was dedicated at the new Eastern Kentucky University indoor baseball facility on April 21.  Following introductions by Coach Edwin Thompson and Athletic Director Steve Lochmueller, Don Seymour addressed the team and stressed the respect for the game and the determination to succeed that characterized Clint’s experience at EKU.  Clint’s mother Mary and his sister Carly and her husband Adam Richards joined the Dedication Day, which began with the annual Clint Seymour Golf Outing and ended with EKU winning an important conference game at which Carly threw out the first pitch to Clint’s teammate and close friend, Christian Friedrich (Rockies and Padres and rehabbing from injuries so far this season), who received the pitch wearing his Rawlings “Yinzer 24” glove.  A number of Clint’s teammates were present for the dedication. Another special day for Clint and another group touched by his legacy.  This special room in the facility was proposed by current coach Edwin Thompson, who never met Clint but who now knows him very well.
